Çağla Arıbal is a Turkish-born, Berlin-based writer, poet, editor, and educator. Her work has been published in the European Review of Books, First Page, Versopolis, and Textur, among others. Her poetry has been translated into German, Czech, and French. In 2023, she was awarded the Best Fiction Prize by the Oxford Review of Books. She is a 2026 recipient of the Berlin Senate Literature Stipend.

As a performer, Çağla has shared her work at international literary festivals including Runokuu in Helsinki, the Haus für Poesie in Berlin, The Word in Denver, and the Gorki Theater.

Alongside her work at the Berlin Writers’ Workshop and her private consulting practice, she has taught at the Berlin Art Institute, the Konrad Wolf Film University, Vienna’s Central European University, and several Volkshochschulen.

She holds an MA in English Literature from the University of Potsdam; during her time in academia, she presented her research at the University of Cambridge, Goldsmiths, Bosphorus University, and the Universities of Freiburg and Klagenfurt.

Çağla is currently completing her first novel and a collection of short stories.
