Hello

Originally from Turkey and now based in Berlin, I am a writer, poet, editor, and educator.

I hold an MA in English Literature from the University of Potsdam.

My writing has been featured in the European Review of Books, FIRST PAGE, Versopolis, TEXTUR, with my poetry appearing in German, Czech, and French translation.

In 2023, I was awarded the Best Fiction Prize by the Oxford Review of Books, and I am THE recipient of the 2026 Berlin Senate Literature Stipend.

As a performer, I have shared my work at international festivals such as Runokuu in Helsinki, the Haus für Poesie in Berlin, and The Word in Denver, the Gorki Theater Berlin.

Currently, I teach at the Berlin Writers’ Workshop and offer private consultations for writers. My previous teaching experience includes the Berlin Art Institute, Central European University in Vienna, and various Volkshochschulen.

I am currently completing my first novel alongside a collection of short stories.
